As we move into March…

I’ve pulled the 3 of Pentacles, 10 of Pentacles, 10 of Swords, 7 of Pentacles, 5 of Wands, and 3 of Swords as a general collective reading of the energy of March, and the below is my own interpretation of the cards that came up from me.

As always take what resonates, and say f*ck it to the rest!

Things feel stagnant, as though we have been rowing for a long time and have suddenly come upon still water.

We worked.
We lifted and carried.
We built something with our hands and our hope.

There were moments when the horizon gleamed, when we believed the effort mattered because we could almost see what it was becoming. A container. A growing community. Potential. Expansion. Something that might last beyond us.

March arrives with a rupture.

Mental exhaustion

Painful truths

Hitting a wall

There’s this moment of assessment: Does this actually pay off? Was the emotional, material, spiritual investment worth it? Is the seed taking root, or has it only split open?

There’s a need for patience here, but not passive patience. Discernment. Clear seeing. The patience of a field in early melt. Patience that listens. That watches.

March feels like an ending of some kind. In truth, it is revealing. A month of clarity.

Not all is lost.

The mind may feel crowded. The heart may feel tender. But there is still light. An illumination that is clearing things away. It enters through small openings. It may not feel gentle, but it is showing what can no longer remain. Tension is building because something cannot continue in the same form.

When seasons shift and the earth thaws, decay is revealed. What winter covers, spring exposes. The rot was always there, it’s just now we can see it. Among the tension and impatience is impending bloom. Try to remember that exposure is not failure. It is preparation. It is intention birthed into form.

Springtime is for the chicks. Youthful energy can mistake urgency for aliveness. It can urge to rush, push and strain and call it growth. If we try to hurry the process, if we let the long-term vision haunt the present, we will pierce our own hearts in our fervor.

The crocus does not force itself through frozen soil out of impatience. It waits until the earth is ready to part.

If we press too hard toward the future, if we clutch the long vision so tightly that it swells, we risk wounding ourselves in the name of devotion.

March asks for a steady discipline, the kind learned from roots and branches.

Turn to nature and see what she does. Notice how she unfolds without spectacle, unrushed. Feel your feet. Keep them grounded and tucked within the earth.

The wind will howl, it always does.

It will power and insist and move through your thoughts and emotions like the surge of waves through cliff and sand.

It transforms. Earth endures. And so will you.

Numerology of the month: 38

Keywords: Confidence. Creativity. Self-expression. Collaboration. Material abundance. Acceptance. Reality. Bringing spirit into form.

The number 38 is a potent symbol of bringing vision into form, where material abundance is held in balance with spiritual wisdom. It is a number of finding a steady equilibrium between the outer work we offer the world and the inner life that sustains us. It represents the relationship between personal initiation and larger cosmic order.

In Egyptian numerology, 38 aligns with Anubis, the jackal-headed guardian of thresholds, the keeper of endings, the careful preserver of what must pass through death to be transformed. Not loss but ritual crossing. The tender work of wrapping what has been, so it can journey onward in another form.

In the I-Ching, 38 is the number of diverging interests. Of polarity becoming visible. But there are always creative possibilities inherent in polarities. It is tension that can create shape, two forces leaning away from one another can also create space. In that space, something new can be made.

Opposition does not mean collapse. Relationships, communities, even the parts within ourselves sustain themselves through creative expression, through allowing difference to become art instead of war.

March shows us where things diverge. Where energy no longer matches. Where truth has been waiting. Not everything survives clarity. What remains will be real.

In a world that moves quickly, choosing to pause, to reflect, to go internally, is no small thing. Whether you read every word slowly or skim what calls to you, I’m grateful you are here.

A Few Questions to Sit With

For those beholden of pen, the journalers….You don’t need to answer these immediately. Let them guide you into the month.

  • Where are you trying to force bloom before the soil has softened?
  • What truth has been waiting patiently for your acknowledgment?
  • Where has collaboration felt generative, and where has it begun to feel strained?
  • Are you creating from devotion, or from fear of losing momentum?
  • What part of you is ready to diverge, even if it disrupts peace?
  • Where could polarity become creativity instead of conflict?
  • Who are you building with, and does the vision still feel shared?
  • If you allowed tension to become art, what would you create?
  • What wants to end so something more honest can begin?
  • If you slowed down enough to match the earth, what would rise naturally?

“See” you next month!
